About Portswap

The Women's (And Men's) Clothing Swap is an annual community event run by the Portsmouth Public Library and Goodwill Industries of Northern New England. The program started in 2009. Each Spring you are invited to give back by donating unwanted clothing and accessories and make an exciting addition to your wardrobe in return. The swap is well attended. Each year around 200-250 people attend the swap. We raise nearly two thousand pounds in donations for Goodwill each year. The swap benefits Goodwill Industries of Northern New England, whose local network of thrift stores helps to keep usable goods out of the landfill. Revenue from store sales benefits Goodwill’s job training and human services programs.
